Life highlights:
Pretty much lived and breathed in a coffee shop for weeks to cram for my first end-of-term exam.. I don’t want to need to do that again, honestly. That’s why I came up with this study plan for my future exams.
Got the Apple Pencil, and it changed my whole soul and study experience with the iPad. Best investment ever.
Pretty things
Things I’ve listened/watched/read:
PODCASTS
I started listening to podcasts, starting with Not Overthinking - hosted by one of my favourite YouTubers, Ali Abdaal, and his brother, Taimur. It’s a “weekly podcast about happiness, creativity, and the human condition”, and I find it amusing because their personality and the way they view the world is so different from mine. It’s always nice to listen to different perspectives on everyday life things. I also listened to a few of Joe Roegan’s podcasts.
TV SHOWS
I finished The Good Place (Season 3) - it’ll always be one of my favourite TV shows of all time. Like almost everyone on this planet, I started watching the last season (8th) of Game of Thrones. Surprisingly, after I came back from the Spain trip in Dec 2018, my Dad, out of all people, recommended me a Korean drama to watch. (He’s never done this before haha). It is Memories of the Alhambra. Stay tuned to the next Monthly Musings on my thoughts of this fantastical K-drama :)
FILMS
The only movie that I recalled watching was Shazam!, and I absolutely loved it <3
BOOKS
I downloaded Kindle on my iPad, and tried reading a book (Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan) but realised that I don’t think I can read books on a screen like that… It’s just not the same as having a book in your hands, and having to physically flip each page and y’know.. yeah. What I’m saying is I think I’ll stick to reading physical copies of books rather than read it on some sort of electronic device for now.
#akanacouple
For those that are new to my blog, my name is Nana, and I’ve been dating this beautiful angel named Akash for almost 5 years now. (Akash + Nana = Akana) During these 2 months, we met up pretty often, I’d say. We went to Puttshack in London (mini golf game), and it was so fun. You can see in the last photo below who won ehuehu. (FYI: My first name is Arrada. Nana is my nickname.)
Bits & bobs
Family time / Studying (read: cramming) / Grandfather’s and dad’s birthdays ^^
Food
Gotta admit… I had a lot of good food during these 2 months. Some homemade, some in restaurants, with a few snacks here and there. And of course, a lot of bubble tea :3
With love,
Nana
