2024 Recap

Nana January 1, 2025

Happy new year! :)

2024 has been a good year to me. Of course, there were ups and downs but it was a decent year overall. Here’s a lil’ recap of all the main events that happened in the year.

  • Flew back to my homeland, Thailand, for my medical elective and to visit my family (and had lots of amazing food, as always).

  • Got a new tattoo! I love it so much. It was done by the lovely Maria Paczkowska (IG: @mariapaczkowskaart)

  • Opened an Etsy shop. I sold a number of medical-related products such as mugs, wallpapers and templates. I currently have two listings left in the shop because I semi-closed. It was a fun little side hustle though. Visit the shop here.

  • Went to Lake District with our friends. Although I crashed my bike and got a deep cut on my leg (hah, silly me), I enjoyed our time there - especially the spa day.

  • Graduated from medical school. This was something I thought I couldn’t accomplish but I did, and I have my family and partner to thank for pushing me through all these years of grueling education.

  • I turned 29. Gosh, I’m in my last year of being in my late 20s. Can’t believe I’ll be turning 30 next, ahh.

  • Started working as a doctor. This has been anxiety-inducing, and I have some plans coming up to ‘deal’ with that. More on that on another blog post some time in the future, probably.

  • Got a kitten, Mochi! This has got to be the highlight of my year. She is such a joy to have around our home. She’s my first ever pet (yeah my parents didn’t allow any pets growing up), and I love her so much.

  • Akash and I celebrated our 10th anniversary together. Huge milestone for us! I love this guy with all my heart and soul. We celebrated by going to the restaurant where we had our very first date all those years ago.

  • Rebranded my online presence. Changed it from ‘musingful’ to ‘pixels by Nana’. I didn’t resonate with ‘musingful’ anymore. More on my previous blog post.

  • Created a short film with my sister. My sister came to visit my brother and I in London, and we just decided to film this in one day. We had planned to have more scenes but it was way too cold outside so it’s sort of incomplete, ahah. It’s called ‘For the Both of Us’, and it’s about two sisters who attemped to complete a bucket list they made years ago but there’s a plot twist. You can watch it on my TikTok here.

  • Started learning how to code. This has been so fun, and I’m excited to start creating my own personal projects soon.

Just for fun, I used ChatGPT to help me create a mood board for 2025. I look forward to what’s to come in this new year.

That’s a wrap up! Thank you to everyone who has made this year memorable. Once again, happy new year and wishing this year will bring you happiness, good health, growth and lots of love.

How was 2024 for you? :)

With love,

Nana
